The end....

Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students. Solomon Ortiz

A teacher's job is a continous job, it´s fun and has a huge adventure ahead, During these weeks of my internship for UNAD I was able to learn much more than what I was able to teach, due to the love, friendhip and kindness given by the students.
There are many challenges that needed to be faced, for example the fact that I've never thought to adults. Challenges are always good, might be hard at the beginnig but we have to be able to learn from everything. As I write this and notice it's over I notice I've learned soo much, I was able to speak with two great group of students and guide them into speaking English better.
This experience taught me that even if I have two groups of t he same age that doesn't mean they have the same knowledge, time or anything more in common. That as a teacher I have to take the time to learn  their difficulties and their advantages. To be able to adapt my courses to them and not adapt them to my courses. To be able to encourage them and prove them their capable of learning and improving each time more and more.
To conclude this experience was a great experience for me, I learned to try new challenges and try to do my best.

I hope to see your comments and opininons.

Lesson Reports

These two lesson reports has a comparation between the two groups and the same activity this is to show how my lesson plans can change accodring to the group I have. This means as teachers we have to be very flexible and pay attention to our students needs.

1. Brief narrative or description of the speaking lesson
It was a continuation of presenting the different places each student had already prepared before. What I enjoyed the most was the video and the games, student enjoyed it even though Google doesn’t allow listening.
It was a continuation of presenting the different places each student had already prepared before. What I enjoyed the most was the video and the games, student enjoyed it even though Google doesn’t allow listening.
2. How successful were activities and materials?
I think the activities were very interesting for them, I think they enjoy using these activities which are didactic and spontaneous.
Students seem to like the activities and they even asked to have a repetition of the video.
3. What departures did you make from the original lesson plan?
I followed the lesson plan but maybe took more or took less time in making the activities as I taught maybe the students would take less time playing the game.
I followed the lesson plan but taught students would only need to listen to the activities one time. They sometimes had a problem with the spontaneous thematic places I proposed.
4. What difficulties did learners experience in different stages of the lesson?
I think they understood and followed throughout the activity. They understand easier
The students have problems understanding the thematic places or the weather. And I feel is more of a lack of vocabulary.
5. What aspects of the lesson did you feel were particularly successful?
6. What aspects of the lesson did not work particularly well? Why?
I think the video was a success and getting throughout the tongue twister.

I think they didn’t enjoy the game as much as the other group did, I think it was too basic for them
I think they enjoyed the video and having the game I think this was something they enjoyed a lot.

I think they had difficulty with the proposed places. Some pronunciation problems for example, Paris.

8. What aspects of the lesson should be done differently next time?

I would have to think more according to their likes and dislikes and modify according to their level. So I don’t feel like they were bored of the game.
I would try to make thematic places simpler and places where they can feel more identified. But I wanted to give them a more cultural approach.

These are the two videos, first group A and then group B

These two videos are really meaningful to me, because with a kids video and a kids game me and my students had fun, played and just enjoyed this activity. I feel like we try to have more ¨adult¨ activities sometimes, but these two videos show that you can have soo much fun with any activities and the idea is to mae the students have fun, be comfortable and learn.

Teaching Material

Teaching includes the different materials the teacher uses to explain her topic. Students can have different material like slides, videos, games etc.
This are two of the different didactic material I created for my students.

Lesson Plan

These are great for teachers, we get to plan ahead and make sure we follow this guide to have all the goals we want to adquire for us and our students.
I get to share two of my favorite lesson plans and tell you why I enjoyed them the most.

I chose this one because I enjoyed students presenting their favorite places and being able to ask expontanious question. This was a fun and great activity in which students can feel free to ask and involve themselves in that constructive learning I aim for.

  2.  I chose this second lesson plan because I think students should be able to learn expontanious answers and be able to speak about different subjects. This shows that students are very capable of free topics and debates. This class was fun.

I practiced the tongue twister and I gave it much attention as I knew it would be part of their final task.  They were able to see a video and express what they would were in different weathers or places. Explained what their favorite season is. We had a great game in which each student had the opportunity to play and laugh a bit.

This encounter was ok, I felt one of my students has a lack of comprehension. I explained the exams rubric and asked if they had any question. We basically planned everything for the exam. I really loved having these encounters.  Students chose the topic for the debate and had an example given by their e-mates.

Exam
1:06:35
Students were late, we had an overall good exam. They were very independent and had a good result. I was a little concerned or sad with the result of Jorge he´s always been in class and participated, he was nervous so I gave him a new subject. I did the exam for David in a whatts app message as he was in a bicycle competition.
